The state government of Madhya Pradesh launched a new scheme named as Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana. The scheme allows even the less fortunate members of society to marry their daughters in an appropriate manner. The government of Madhya Pradesh offers up to Rs 55,000 in financial aid for a girl’s marriage. Cash, household items and costs associated with large scale marriage rituals are all included. Since the state government wanted to stop practices like dowry with the implementation of this scheme, every effort has been made to change the public’s opinion.

Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana

The Madhya Pradesh government launched the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana in 2006. The scheme, which was initiated by the MP government, aims to give females from low income households financial support for their marriages. so that the daughters can marry in a dignified way and their parents are not burdened financially.

This program provides Rs 55,000 in financial support for daughter’s marriages. The Mohan government is currently raising this amount of money. This decision was made by the state administration before this year’s marriage muhurat.

Objective of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana

The main objective of this scheme is to offer financial support for the marriage or nikah of a marriageable girl, widow, or abandoned woman from a family that is poor, needy or destitute and is registered under the labor cadre and poor schemes.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must live in Madhya Pradesh state.
• The girl must be at least 18 years old and the guy must be at least 21 years old. The woman must be legally divorced (divorce papers must be filed).
• The Kanya Vivaah Yojana no longer has an income limit, however the girl must only get married through a mass marriage scheme.
• The scheme will not assist a girl who marries someone else.
• Marriage must take place on the dates set by the government in order to qualify for this scheme.

Offline Applying Procedure of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana

• At least 15 days before the planned day of the mass marriage, applicants can pick up the application form from the local Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, Municipal Council or District Panchayat office.

• The application form must be filled out entirely and sent to the relevant office with all the required documents.
• Following the Review Committee’s examination of the applications, qualified couples will be chosen and notified to take part in the mass marriage program.
