The Assam Orunodoi scheme was launched on 2 October 2020 by the honorable Chief Minister of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to all the financially deprived women of the state. So that all eligible women will be able to meet all their daily needs easily.

Let us tell you that the objective of this upgraded version of the Orunodoi scheme is to increase the number of beneficiaries from the previous 17 lakh to 37 lakh. • Total number of beneficiaries under this scheme is 37 lakh women. Previous number of beneficiaries is 17 lakh. There is an increase of 20 lakh additional women among the beneficiaries.

• Under the scheme, Rs 1250 per month is given as financial assistance which was earlier Rs 830. This financial assistance is designed to help women in the state of Assam and enhance their financial stability and quality of life.
