Nijut Moina Scheme
Launched on June 12, 2024, the Assam Nijut Moina Scheme offers financial aid ranging from INR 1,000 to INR 2,500 per month to female students in high schools, colleges, and universities. The funds are directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring transparency. This initiative focuses on reducing dropout rates, preventing child marriages, and promoting higher enrollment in educational institutions. By providing sustained financial support, the scheme aims to enhance literacy rates and contribute to the overall development of the state.

Financial Assistance And Benefits
The scheme aims to provide:

Payments are made for 10 months annually, excluding June and July, directly into the students’ bank accounts.

Scope Of The Scheme
This scheme is available only to students in government higher secondary schools, colleges, and universities in Assam. Students in private institutions or those already benefiting from the HS Scooty Scheme are ineligible.
