The Ladki Bahin Yojana 10th Installment Date has been made public by the Maharashtra state government. Now, all Maharashtra state women who enrolled for the Ladki Bahin Yojana may verify the expected release date of the 10th installment online by going to the official website. To track the payment status from the comfort of their homes, female citizens may use the official website instead of wasting time and effort going to a government office. Under the April installment of the scheme, the Maharashtra state government would provide Rs.500 in financial assistance to the chosen female residents.

UPDATE: It sounds like the stipend amount for beneficiaries has been reduced due to overlapping benefits from different government schemes. This change was implemented by the BJP-led Mahayuti government in the state. The beneficiaries were previously receiving Rs. 1,500, which has now been reduced to Rs. 500. The reason cited for this reduction is that beneficiaries were also receiving Rs. 1,000 under another government scheme called the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi (NSMN).

Under the Ladki Bahin scheme, beneficiaries are allowed to receive additional government benefits only if the total monthly assistance does not exceed ₹1,500.

Initially, the state received 2.63 crore applications for the scheme in October last year. However, following a government-led verification process, the number was reduced by 11 lakh, bringing the total to 2.52 crore.

By February and March, 2.46 crore beneficiaries had received the financial support.

Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had estimated that the beneficiary count would drop by 10–15 lakh after the scrutiny process.

Ladki Bahin Yojana

The Ladki Bahin Yojana was started by the Maharashtra government to help the state’s female population achieve financial independence. On 17  August 2024, Mr. Eknath Shinde, the former chief minister of Maharashtra state, introduced the scheme. All of the state’s financially disadvantaged women will get Rs.500 per month from the Maharashtra government as part of this program. By providing financial rewards, the scheme seeks to empower women to become self-sufficient and to stop depending on others to meet their basic requirements. Women citizens who earn less than Rs.2.5 lakh annually and are between the ages of 21 and 65 are eligible to get the benefits of this scheme.
