The Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme 2025 has been introduced by the state government of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand state government launched the Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme in order to offer reasonably priced health insurance coverage to all government workers and retirees in the state. On 28 February 2025, Jharkhand State Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Suren declared the scheme’s inauguration. In order for government employees to benefit from the Health Insurance Scheme, they must pay a monthly fee of Rs.500. Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme
A health insurance program has been introduced by the Jharkhand government for state employees, with effect from 1 March. Under this program, accredited hospitals are now offering free medical care to employees and their relatives up to Rs 5 lakh. Employee benefits from the project have already started; the first documented instance included a Jamshedpur police officer who received free medical care.
The Jharkhand Arogya Society reports that 1.62 lakh workers have signed up for the scheme so far, and 1.09 lakh workers have received health insurance cards. There are 200 hospitals from outside the state and 151 within Jharkhand on the list of participating institutions. Furthermore, 50 hospitals have been placed on a blacklist, and staff members have been cautioned not to receive care there.
