The Odisha government has introduced the Odisha Mamata-PMMVY Scheme 2025 to provide pregnant women all over the state with financial assistance. The scheme is targeting to provide financial support to expecting mothers who belong to economically weaker sections of society. Through the convergence of the state-government-run MAMATA scheme with the centrally-sponsored PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana) scheme, the latest scheme provides improved financial benefits and medical services to these eligible women in Odisha.

MAMATA and PMMVY Scheme Merged
To ensure maximum benefits, the Odisha Mamata-PMMVY Scheme consolidates two significant maternity benefit schemes—MAMATA (a state-run scheme) and PMMVY (a central government scheme). Consolidation streamlines benefits and enhances maternity-linked assistance to women. According to this integrated scheme:
- Women who deliver a girl child will be paid INR 12,000.
- Women who deliver a boy child will be paid INR 10,000.
- The financial help will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism.
