Navya Yojana:- On June 24 ,2025 the Government of India launched NAVYA Scheme for the adolescent girls aging between 16-18 years. The NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls) Scheme is a collaborated initiative taken by the ministry of Women and child development and ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship for the girls to make them future-ready skilled. The Navya Yojana is pilot scheme for the adolescent girls to provide them vocational training in non-traditional job works to make them independent.
What is NAVYA Scheme?
NAVYA Scheme is a pilot skill development program for the children who have passed class 10th . Adolescent girls aging between 16 to 18 years can apply to this scheme to learn new skills in different fields to gain confidence stepping up in the real world. This scheme is being introduced in 27 districts across 19 states providing vocational training in growing sectors like drone repair, mobile operations, digital design and solar panel installation.

Special Training Program under NAVYA Scheme 2025
A special 7 hour training session has been designed under the NAVYA Scheme program for the adolescent girls. The program mainly focuses on the fields given below;
- Interpersonal skills : presentation is the key to enthusiasm, learn the art of presentation and how to be hygienic and easily handle conflict without errors.
- Communicational skills : learn the process of listening and speaking accordingly. Communication skills matter the most while presenting something.
- Workplace safety: step up to work in the workplace fully confident and safe, gain the knowledge about POSH $ POCSO laws.
- Financial literacy : to be independent is to be more self disciplined, understand how to manage income and how to save accordingly.

Benefits of NAVYA Scheme
It is a fee vocational training program for adolescent girls to learn new skill development programs to get future ready and independent. While most of the girls in our country don’t get the chance to study for their desired interested course due to lack of resources or any societal pressure, the government of india took initiative to launch this scheme so that girls mainly from rural areas can learn skills that can help them earn on their own and build their future on their own and be independent. It can help them build confidence and maintain discipline in their personal and professional life.

Eligibility Criteria
- Adolescent girls aging between 16 to 18 years can apply for this scheme.
- Minimum qualification of 10th class pass is required
- Participant is willing to learn a new skill and is engaging
- Girls preferebly from rural, backward class.

How to Apply Online for NAVYA Scheme
Since this scheme is in pilot phase, the registration will be conducted in the local government bodies. The registration will in held online in the local official PKMVY Centres. Here are the steps to apply;
- Visit your nearest PMKVY Training centre or check the official Skill India Portal.
- Submit your documents required like age proof ,educational qualification and identity proof.
- Get your name registered in the training batch under NAVYA Yojana.
- Training session is free of cost at the selected selected centers.
