What is RTE (Right To Education)
Let us tell you that the Government of India made such a law in the Right to Education Act 2019, through which it is necessary to educate children below the age of 14 years. Under this Act, it is mandatory for a 14-year-old child to get primary education in any form. In such a situation, those people who are economically deprived can get free education under this scheme. Under this scheme, children aged 6 to 14 years of BPL / SC ST / OBC category will be given priority in Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025-26. Who can get benefits under this scheme and get free education.
Objective of Maharashtra RTE Admission
The main objective of this Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025-26 is to provide free education to students between 6 and 14 years of age living below the poverty line. The Maharashtra State Government has ordered to reserve 25% seats for economically weaker children in private schools. Which will be given through this scheme. To apply in this scheme, you can apply from 14 January 2025. Let us tell you that the last date to apply under this scheme is 27 January 2025. After the application, the admission of children will be ensured through lottery.

Eligibility Criteria
- The interested student must be a permanent resident of the state of Maharashtra.
- The age of the student should be between 3 to 6 years.
- Children can choose only those schools which come under RTE and are in their area.
- The student’s family should belong to BPL/ST or SC community.
- The total annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 1 lakh.
- Only two children per family can avail the benefit of RTE admission.
