Delhi Ayushman Bharat Card Distribution 2025 is a big step towards accessible healthcare for the residents of the capital. Launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in collaboration with the Union Health Ministry, this initiative ensures that eligible citizens get cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh annually. The scheme, which will be officially launched on April 10, 2025, will benefit over 6.5 lakh families in Delhi by providing top-class medical care in both government and private hospitals. The launch of this scheme, along with the establishment of 1,139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, 400 health and wellness centres and an investment of ₹1,749 crore, is transforming the healthcare landscape of Delhi.

What is Ayushman Bharat Yojana?
The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) is the world’s largest health insurance scheme, aiming to provide universal healthcare access to India’s financially vulnerable population. It offers cashless hospitalization coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year, across public and private empaneled hospitals.
With Delhi becoming the 35th state/UT to implement this scheme, the 2025 launch of the Delhi Ayushman Bharat Card is a monumental step in the capital’s public healthcare system. Through a joint effort by the Central Government and Delhi State Government, this initiative will now cover millions of families across the national capital.
